Volume

2005 - present

Baltimore Museum of Art

The process of Drilling A Well For Water produced the object Volume.

350 gallons of water obtained from the well drilled in the BMA sculpture garden was added to the museum's heating and cooling system. This system permanently recycles the water to create both hot and cold air which is circulated throughout the building.

Volume is the volumetric space of the entire museum building.  Volume was acquired by the BMA as a permanent sculpture in 2005.
